Absolutely exquisite Victorian folding mirror with a fanciful Japanese design. Patent dated 1876, this piece reflects the considerable interest in Japanese art and design during the Victorian era, and particularly in the context of the Aesthetic movement.
The mirror is NOT freestanding, but rather meant to hang from the hooks at the top. Two panels fold out to reveal three mirrors in total- perfect for shaving or doing your hair. These mirrored panels only come out as far as they are shown; they do not open flat. You were meant to open the panels for use and then fold them back again. Refer to photos for size and condition. Some crazing to the right mirror and wear on the back, otherwise it’s in really great shape.

It is the buyer's responsibility to examine these photos clearly & read the description in full before purchasing. If you have any other questions or require further views, you've only to ask.

SHIPPING
- Orders ship once a week. If you need something by a certain date, please let me know before purchasing. I am almost always able to accommodate requests.
- Insurance is automatically added to every order for a very small fee, via the service Route. If you choose not to insure your order, I will not be held responsible for lost or stolen packages.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
- If you are outside the US & would like to purchase something, please message me to arrange payment either through Paypal invoice or through our Etsy outpost. I am not currently taking international orders on this website due to a problem with Shopify's shipping calculator.
